ALTAWIL TRADING ENTERPRISES was established in
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1954, as an Import company.
Yusuf Mohammed Altawil, founder.
In 1960, Altawil expanded its branches within
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from the Red See
to The Arabian Gulf.
Besides import trading, a new line of business
was introduced which is representing Consulting
Engineering firms and Contracting companies to
work in Saudi Arabia in joint venture with Altawil
Trading Enterprises.
Altawil represented many companies such as the
American Consulting Engineers, Wilson-Murrow:
The Highway Network in Saudi Arabia for the Ministry
of Transport and Communication.
At a later stage, with the established infrastructure
in Saudi Arabia, Altawil Trading Enterprises represented
other companies such as the French giant "Grands
Travaux de Marseilles" (GTM) and Skanska
the global construction company from sweden. Together,
we have achieved successful delivery of huge projects
including the construction of the Died Harbour,
the Desalination Plant in Jubail and the expansion
of Jeddah Islamic Port.
